There are many London references in this artwork for example a Chelsea Pensioner, Notting Hill Dancers, Karl Marx’s grave, the Queen’s Guard, The Queen herself, Charlie Chaplin, the Arch Bishop of Canterbury, a London Fire Fighter, Del Boy, Sadiq Khan, Alfred Hitchcock and Theresa May . There are also references to regions within London such as the gay couple representing Soho, the Tennis player repping Wimbledon, the Raver repping the capital’s famous clubs, Aladdin repping the West End, and a nurse repping the NHS.

In the background you will be able to spot many of the capital’s famous landmarks including Big Ben, The Gherkin, Tower Bridge, St Pauls and the London Eye.

Bonus fact: London is not all smiles and rainbows; at the top there is a fire representing the tragic Great Fire of London of 1666, and several bombs raining down, representing the devastation of the Blitz in the 1940s.
